Vladimirescu (Comuna Vladimirescu)
Vladimirescu (Glogovăți until 1947; Glogovác; Glogowatz) is a commune in Arad County, Romania, is situated in the south-eastern part of the Arad Plateau. Its territory stretches over 12400 ha. It is composed of four villages: Cicir (Maroscsicsér), Horia (formerly Pănadu Nou; Újpanád; Neupanat), Mândruloc (Mondorlak) and Vladimirescu (situated at 8 km from Arad).
According to the 2002 census, the population of the commune is 10,649 inhabitants, of which 92.8% are Romanians, 3.1% Hungarians, 1.2% Roma, 2.2% Germans, 0.3% Slovaks, 0.2% Ukrainians and 0.2% are of other or undeclared nationalities.
